WHERE IT BEGAN

Brand Sense took over MOVIT Zambia’s social media in October 2023, their biggest challenge was a low engagement rate, and a lack of awareness of their products and they were looking to get customer feedback
Movit is known for its high-quality personal care and household products. From hair care to skincare, the company provided a wide range of items that aimed to improve the daily lives of Zambians.

However, like any business eager to grow and connect with its audience, there was room to do more. The company had established itself as a reliable name, but in a fast-changing world of social media and customer engagement, it was clear they had to find a way to better resonate with the local Zambian community.

WHAT WE DID

With a fresh idea and strategy in mind. We wanted to localize their content and promote their products directly to the Zambian audience. The goal was not just to boost sales but to create a space where customers could easily engage with the brand and share their thoughts. Movit recognized that social media was the key, and so, they turned to platforms like Facebook and Instagram to establish a direct line of communication with their customers.

To make this vision a reality, we recruited local content creators—talented individuals who understood the culture and interests of Zambians. These creators were tasked with making content that would truly speak to the local audience in the Nyanja language, showcasing Movit’s products in ways that felt relevant and relatable. At the same time, the company set up a dedicated WhatsApp line to handle customer inquiries, ensuring no message went unanswered.

 

The results of Movit’s bold strategy were nothing short of impressive. In just a short period, the company’s Facebook and Instagram pages saw a massive increase in followers—12,000 new fans joined the Movit family online, eager to learn about new products and engage with the brand. Customers were now reaching out more than ever, with a 37% increase in the response rate to inquiries. But the success didn’t stop there. The customer feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with more than 700 glowing reviews flooding in from across Zambia.

 

Movit Zambia had not only succeeded in localizing its content, but it had also built a stronger, more personal connection with its customers. The company had successfully turned its social media platforms into thriving communities, filled with happy customers who felt heard and valued. It was clear that Movit wasn’t just a brand—they were a part of the everyday lives of Zambians, making life a little better, one product at a time.
